Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a 7 x 7 Underground Miner to join the Turquoise Ridge Underground Production department in Nevada. The role supports a new mechanical mining zone with a rotating 7x7 schedule and requires a background in underground mining and heavy equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of underground mining experience.
• Previous heavy equipment operation experience.
• Ability to work safely in an underground mining environment.
• Stable work history and proactive safety record.
• Ability to communicate with mine operations staff.
• Willingness to work a rotating night/day schedule.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate mechanical mining equipment, including roadheader systems.
• Maintain safe work practices and workplaces.
• Read cut sheets/maps and maintain line and grade in a mechanical excavation environment.
• Support roadheader systems, including cutting, ground engagement, and material handling.
• Operate loaders and jammers of various sizes (6yd/9yd/12yd).
• Assess ground conditions and adjust techniques to optimize advance rates.
• Follow ground support plans in a mechanical mining environment.
• Install utilities such as ventilation ducting, piping, and cables.
• Support conveyor or truck haulage systems in continuous mining operations.
• Collaborate with team to solve issues and maintain productivity.
