Job summary

Freeport‑McMoRan seeks a candidate to operate heavy equipment at the Henderson mine or mill, supporting production and blasting activities. The role involves handling explosives, concrete batching, drilling and road maintenance in a 24/7 mining environment.

Applicants should have at least 6 months of related experience, pass safety assessments, and meet BATF clearance requirements. On-site housing allowance is offered for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• 6 months+ experience in heavy industry (oil/gas, civil construction, mining) with equipment operation experience.
• Must demonstrate safety competency and pass required assessments.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work and meet BATF clearance requirements.
• Ability to understand and follow English safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate Load-Haul-Dump (LHD) unit in production.
• Assemble, transport and place explosives for cave development or blasting.
• Operate concrete batching equipment and transport concrete as needed.
• Drill blast holes with hydraulic (diesel/electric) drills and install ground support.
• Manage explosives distribution, inventories and requisitions.
