Job summary

Irby Construction Company is seeking an Underground Lineman to install, maintain and upgrade underground electrical distribution for Orlando and surrounding areas.

You will work from our safety-focused team with the ability to travel for storm response, lifting up to 50 lbs, and holding a valid CDL and DOT Medical Card. The role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Must have 3-5 years of underground lineman experience.
• Must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License and maintain a Medical Card certified by a DOT Medical Examiner.
• Ability to work outside 100% of the time in inclement weather.
• Ability to travel and report for 24-hour standby when responding to storm relief.

Responsibilities

• Provide the needed services for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the customer's underground electrical distribution system.
• Connect, disconnect, install, remove, and relocate electrical devices on customer facilities.
• Investigate consumer complaints and perform repairs to energized lines.
• Operate equipment such as bucket trucks and diggers to complete jobs.
