Job Description

Position Summary
This position is responsible for the safe repair and rejuvenation of medium to high voltage underground cables using Novinium's patented technology and processes.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Work safely with no electrical contact incidents or personal injuries. Enhance and advance a safety culture. Follow OSHA and company safety rules. Responsible for safety at the worksite.
• Craftwork: Operate TDR waveform and RF locating equipment for cable testing. Perform air flow tests. Prepare cables for injection activities. Inject URD and feeder cables with rejuvenation fluids. Provide field service and set up injection equipment. Switch medium voltage circuits and manage switching orders. Climb poles if needed. Carry out other duties as assigned.
• Project Management: Coordinate injection and digging activities, maintain equipment, assist with job planning, and operate company vehicles.
• Customer Relations: Provide positive customer service.

Requirements

• Relevant work experience as a Lineman or similar with current certification.
• Experience with underground line work, fault location, repair, and switching.
• Strong underground craftwork skills, including splices and terminations.
• Ability to read circuit maps and basic computer skills.
• Understanding of construction skills and familiarity with URD systems.
• Safe work record and commitment to safety.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred. Passport and ability to travel to Canada preferred.

Working Conditions

• Ability to travel regularly.
• Ability to climb poles and lift at least 75 lbs. over 300 ft.
• Work in confined spaces and in various weather conditions.
