Job summary

NORLEE INVESTMENTS LLC is seeking an Underground Equipment Operator in Jacksonville, FL. You will safely operate skid steers, excavators and backhoes to support underground utility projects, read blueprints, and ensure precise installation while maintaining schedules and quality.

From pre‑op inspections to routine maintenance, you will document usage and incidents, follow OSHA/MSHA guidelines, and coordinate with field crews to meet project specs and adapt to site conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid heavy equipment operator certification or equivalent training.
• Minimum of 2 years experience operating underground heavy machinery in construction, mining, or utility sectors.
• Strong understanding of underground safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project plans.
• Physical ability to work in confined spaces and challenging underground environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of underground heavy equipment including loaders, drills, and excavators to perform excavation, material transport, and site preparation tasks.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel on site.
• Coordinate with team members and supervisors to execute project plans and adjust operations as needed based on site conditions.
• Document equipment usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents or irregularities encountered during operation.
