Job summary

Swick Drilling North America is seeking a skilled Underground Field Electrician to safely diagnose, maintain, and repair underground drill equipment and light vehicles. You will read electrical schematics, apply electrical theory, and work around high voltage systems on site in Alaska.

The role requires 3–5 years in mining or heavy industrial settings, a valid driver's license, and proactive teamwork. A $10,000 Sign-On Bonus is available for this position.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years previous experience in the mining industry/heavy industrial sector.
• Current Driver's License
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
• Hydraulic and Mechanical aptitude
• Advanced hydraulic schematic diagnostic ability

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and fault-finding on underground equipment, including high voltage and control circuitry, to ensure safe, optimum operation is sustained
• Participate in ordering and maintenance of relevant parts/stock
• Develop, train and supervise more junior Maintenance team members, in a technical capacity
• Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting of all relevant safety hazards

Salary Range: $40.00 To $50.00 Annually

Swick Drilling North America is looking for a highly skilled certified electrician to safely perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair of underground mobile drill equipment and light vehicles. Must have the ability to understand and apply electrical theory in troubleshooting, demonstrate ability to apply math skills and comprehend, and interpret technical data sheets, schematics, blueprints, and instructional guides to the electrical trade.

The Field Electrical will assist with timely maintenance and repair on all surface and underground equipment on site, in order to ensure maximum quality and efficiencies are obtained.

Additionally, they will assist with training and implementation of specific diagnostic knowledge to operations and other personnel.

**This position qualifies for a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus**
