Job summary

Swick Drilling North America is seeking a certified electrician to safely diagnose, maintain and repair underground mobile drill equipment and light vehicles on site. The role requires reading electrical schematics and applying electrical theory to troubleshoot and improve equipment reliability.

You will lead maintenance tasks, train junior technicians, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and opportunities to develop diagnostic skills

Qualifications

• 3-5 years mining industry/heavy industrial experience
• Current Driver's License
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
• Hydraulic and Mechanical aptitude
• Advanced hydraulic schematic diagnostic ability

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and fault-finding on underground equipment, including high voltage and control circuitry, to ensure safe, optimum operation is sustained
• Participate in ordering and maintenance of relevant parts/stock
• Develop, train and supervise more junior Maintenance team members, in a technical capacity
• Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting of all relevant safety hazards

Job description

Swick Drilling North America is looking for a highly skilled certified electrician to safely perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair of underground mobile drill equipment and light vehicles. Must have the ability to understand and apply electrical theory in troubleshooting, demonstrate ability to apply math skills and comprehend, and interpret technical data sheets, schematics, blueprints, and instructional guides to the electrical trade.

The Field Electrical will assist with timely maintenance and repair on all surface and underground equipment on site, in order to ensure maximum quality and efficiencies are obtained.

Additionally, they will assist with training and implementation of specific diagnostic knowledge to operations and other personnel.

**This position qualifies for a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus**
