Job summary

Visionary Communications, Inc. seeks an Outside Plant (Fiber) Underground Construction Operator to lead our underground fiber optic team in the Casper region.

This full-time hourly role involves trenching, boring, drops, and placing handholes, working with engineering and construction management, and traveling within Visionary territories. The candidate should have 5+ years of telecom underground construction experience, a clean driver’s license, strong communication, attention to detail, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of telecom underground construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background screen.
• Knowledge of fiber mapping software a plus.
• Flexibility to travel and work outside standard hours.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work under Construction Manager’s direction to ensure safe, productive practices.
• Operate all requisite machinery safely to complete the job.
• Create daily production reports, material usage sheets, and track work hours; maintain accurate as-built maps.
• Coordinate with fleet management to ensure vehicle and equipment maintenance.
