Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support our Henderson mine and mill operations in Colorado. You'll work on-site, operate a range of heavy equipment and adhere to safety procedures in a dynamic mining environment.

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $26.00–$33.00, plus benefits, a $1,450 monthly housing allowance for on-site staff, and comprehensive health and retirement programs. Training and progression opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Six months of mobile equipment operating experience.
• Academic and practical competencies required, including a written assessment if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to support production, including de-watering, materials delivery, berm maintenance and surface upkeep.
• Operate trucks and heavy machinery such as haul and water trucks, dozers, excavators, graders and loaders.
• May assist with training and mentoring other operators.
• Follow start-up/shut-down, LO/TO procedures and safety protocols.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and communicate via dispatch system or radio.
