What you'll do:

  • Install underground telecommunications cabling
  • Direct, coordinate, train, inspect, and monitor crew members in the correct placement/repair of underground telecommunications cable, ensuring results are according to contract and process specifications
  • Ensure employees meet all safety, quality, and production goals according to rules, regulations, and standards set by the company
  • Drive and/or operate diesel or gasoline-powered equipment to/from/on the job site
  • Locate underground cable
  • Flagging, property or worksite restoration, and general construction work (including physical labor such as using hand tools, lifting materials up to 50 lbs, etc.) under the direction of a Supervisor
  • Inspect trucks/equipment for defects
  • Read prints
  • Maintain daily production sheets, OSHA logs, and other reports
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Who we are looking for:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Prior experience in the Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance industry (3+ years preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
  • Ability to operate various utility trucks, equipment, and hand tools safely
  • Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps
  • Ability to follow directions, produce quality work, and maintain safety standards according to regulations and policies
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed
  • Availability to work overtime, after hours, weekends, and in all weather conditions
