Job summary

Blackhawk Mining, LLC is seeking an experienced underground coal miner to perform essential duties in an operating coal seam. You will be responsible for maintaining safety and compliance while supporting ventilation, rockdusting and roadway operations.

Responsibilities include shoveling, timbering, brattice work, belt moves, pumping and general maintenance of outby areas, with the ability to adapt to changing geological conditions and contract requirements.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of mining support activities (rockdusting, timbering, brattice work, ventilation, pumps, etc.).
• Knowledge of safe job procedures for general inside labor.
• Skill with hand tools.
• Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties as assigned which would include shoveling, rockdusting, timbering, brattice work, stoppings, ventilation, belt moves, power moves, pumping and roadway maintenance.
• Maintain outby areas in efficient operating condition.
