Job summary

Blackhawk Mining, LLC in West Virginia is seeking an experienced underground miner to perform a range of tasks including rockdusting, timbering, brattice work, stoppings, ventilation, belt moves and roadway maintenance.

The role requires a valid Underground coal miner's certificate, annual 16-hour retraining, task training, and strict adherence to safety procedures and regulations. Work will occur in coal seams of varying height at our site.

Qualifications

• Underground coal miner's certificate is required.
• Annual 16-hour retraining or equivalent.
• Task training and other qualifications as required by contract and regs.
• Knowledge of safe job procedures and applicable rules.

Responsibilities

• Shoveling, rockdusting, timbering, brattice work, stoppings, ventilation, belt moves, power moves, pumping and roadway maintenance.
• Maintain outby areas in efficient operating condition.
• Fill in on section as needed and as qualifications allow.
• Perform other duties as required.
