Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Cable Splicer to construct and repair underground electrical systems. The role requires working on energized and de-energized lines, operating heavy equipment, and may involve out-of-state travel for outages or emergencies.

You will report to the Foreman and mentor apprentices and groundmen on safety-first practices. Normal duties include installation and repair of underground power, adherence to tagging and grounding procedures, and performing live-line work with

Qualifications

• Three years of underground experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of underground systems.
• Lead crew in the absence of supervision and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground power conductors and hardware.
• Work with energized and de-energized lines using proper tools and PPE.
• Operate equipment including backhoes, bucket trucks, diggers and mini excavators.
• Work outdoors in varied conditions and participate in outage/emergency callouts.
