Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Cable Splicer to safely construct and repair electrical underground systems. Travel to job sites, including out-of-state, may be required. Reports to the Foreman and works on energized and de-energized lines.

Responsibilities include leading crews, training apprentices, and performing live-line work with PPE. Must have CDL and at least 3 years of underground experience. Willingness to work overtime and outages is essential.

Qualifications

• Three years of underground experience.
• Valid CDL required.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Extended hours, weekends, holidays and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform underground construction, maintenance and repair with safety first.
• Lead crew in absence of supervisor and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground power, conductors and related hardware.
• Work with live-line techniques using approved PPE and insulated tools.
