Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering (or closely aligned field).
• Strong ability to teach undergraduate mining engineering courses.
• Significant experience in mining engineering education or industry.
• Ability to teach across a broad range of mining topics.
• Commitment to undergraduate student learning and curriculum improvement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with faculty, staff, students, alumni and industry partners.

Responsibilities

• Teach core and elective undergraduate mining engineering courses.
• Support ABET accreditation, assessment, and documentation.
• Develop and deliver high-quality course materials with modern digital tools.
• Mentor and advise undergraduate students, including capstone projects and internships.
• Collaborate with tenure-line and career-line faculty to maintain a coherent curriculum.
• Engage with industry partners and stakeholders to bring practical experience into the classroom.
• Contribute to department service and activities relevant to teaching-focused appointments.
