Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for two full-time Lecturer positions in the Biology Department beginning January 2, 2027.

These are nine-month, non-tenure track appointments designed to strengthen undergraduate biology education. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in Principles of Biology 1 and 2, which are team-taught and serve biology majors, biomedical engineering majors, and pre-health programs.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. by start date required.
• College/university teaching experience required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Principles of Biology 1 and 2 (core courses).
• Teach both lecture sections and introductory biology lab sections each semester.
• Provide advising and perform department/university service.
• Contribute to curriculum development and pedagogical innovation.
