An established educational institution is seeking a motivated Undergraduate Admissions Counselor to manage recruitment efforts and guide students through the admissions process. This role involves extensive travel for college fairs, high school visits, and presentations to diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling them to effectively engage with prospective students, families, and educational partners. This position is responsible for managing a territory and recruiting students throughout the admissions process. Responsibilities include traveling to college fairs, high school visits, and regional presentations to build leads. The counselor maintains contact with students and families during the application and admission process, actively calling and messaging to gauge interest and assist in enrollment. They evaluate and participate in the selection of candidates for admission and awards academic merit scholarships. Maintaining connections with high school counselors, alumni, and current Creighton parents in the assigned territory is essential. The counselor will also develop and deliver public presentations to promote the institution, ranging from individual student meetings to large audiences of up to 500.
Due to travel requirements and the need for consistent follow-up, this position often requires over 40 hours per week, including night and weekend work.
