Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at University of Minnesota - Rochester (UMR)
• Graduated from high school or obtained a GED
• Granted and accepted a financial work study award of $2,700 for an academic year
• Attention to details and adherence to safety requirements for handling chemicals, reagents and infectious agents
• Computer or keyboarding experience
• Good human relations skills and effective communication both oral and written
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Represent Mayo Clinic and collaborate with Mayo Clinic staff, external clients, students and advisors
• Follow directions from assigned department supervisor
• Provide exposure to research culture and field experience in Mayo Clinic environments
• Coordinate with supervisor to arrange work study schedule within minimum 10 hours per week requirement
• Indicate changes in financial aid award to supervisor and work study office
