Job summary

Mayo Clinic’s Undergraduate Bioethics Internship offers students hands-on research experience during the summer, guided by a faculty mentor. The program includes a biomedical ethics curriculum, with sessions on research methods and meetings with program faculty.

Interns observe the functions of the assigned work unit, complete internship-related assignments and reports for Mayo and the hosting educational facility. The duration and timing will be arranged with the intern and sponsoring facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Authorized to work in the United States for the entire duration of the internship.
• Currently enrolled as a full-time student.
• Compensation will be a fixed rate based on the intern’s education level.
• Prior research and/or healthcare experience preferred.
• Prior internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The intern will observe the functions and processes of the assigned work unit.
• The intern may be given selected work assignments to reinforce the learning experience and provide benefit to the work unit.
• The duration and timing of the internship will be arranged with the intern and the sponsoring educational facility.
