Job summary

The Brennan Center for Justice is seeking an IT internship in Washington, D.C. to provide desktop and telephone support for staff, document resolutions, and assist with software platforms including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Office 365, and the Sage fundraising database.

Ideal candidates are undergraduate students for Spring 2027, with strong communication, basic hardware/software knowledge, and familiarity with network concepts. In-person internship in D.C.

Qualifications

• Technician Level 1 role requiring basic troubleshooting and support.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and detail orientation.
• Beginner knowledge of hardware and software installation.
• MS Office (desktop and cloud) skills.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP and network troubleshooting.
• Excellent listening and verbal skills.
• Familiar with smartphones/tablets and iOS/Android OS.
• Basic understanding of Macintosh devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop and telephone support to Brennan Center employees.
• Document calls and problem resolutions.
• Provide user-level software support (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Office 365, Sage).
• Upgrade, repair and replace computers and printers as needed.
