Job summary

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) and LPE Associates is seeking Inspectors to perform undercover tobacco inspections on behalf of the FDA, CTP, in Idaho. Inspectors will supervise Underage Purchasers during non-confrontational compliance checks to ensure sales to underage persons are restricted.

Responsibilities include completing inspection forms, collecting evidence, preparing reports, coordinating undercover buys, and traveling to assigned locations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience performing inspections and compliance checks preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections of tobacco retailers and complete compliance check inspection forms.
• Prepare narrative report revealing potential compliance issues or violations.
• Collect evidence of violations including taking custody of tobacco product, photographing evidence, and shipping for FDA enforcement.
• Facilitate undercover buys in coordination with trained Underage Purchasers.
• Conduct follow-up inspections for compliance and for complaints.
• Perform other inspection tasks as required.
• Adhere to strict regulations regarding inspections and working with Underage Purchasers.
• Complete required online training course.
• Travel to assigned locations according to own schedule to complete compliance checks.
• Willingness to testify in enforcement hearings.
