Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring a full-time Automotive Mechanic to join Team Mavis at our Carrollton, TX service center. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services, including brakes, struts, and shocks, and handle state inspections, oil changes, and tire work.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Possess an extensive tool box of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles.
• Perform undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount/mount/balance tires.
