Located north of Orlando in Altamonte Springs, our facility is consistently named “Best Hospital” for quality, reputation, and staff by local residents. The role you’ll contribute: The Certified Uncredentialed Surgical First Assistant is a new hire pending credential completion through the Medical Staff credentialing process. The role involves collaborating with the OR team for efficient setup and turnover, and functioning as a Surgical Scrub as needed.

• Utilizes physician preference cards for operating suite setup, updating as instructed.
• Selects appropriate surgical equipment and supplies based on physician preferences.
• Assists with wound dressing and securement of drainage systems.
• Provides visualization of operative sites through retraction, sponging, suction, and irrigation.

Qualifications:

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current certification by NBSTSA as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA), or through the National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistants as a CSA, or ABSA.
• Post Hire Requirements: Credentialing to be initiated upon hire and completed within 90 days to meet DNV standards.

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous first assistant experience in the relevant specialty
