Amentum is seeking an Uncleared Security Monitor to join our Springfield, VA facility. The role requires you to maintain situational awareness, escort uncleared personnel, and report safety and security issues. Qualifications

• Minimum of a HS diploma or GED.
• 1+ year security experience.
• Ability to stand/sit for long periods.
• Ability to provide written and verbal incident reports to various customers.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain/maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and escort uncleared persons at the facility.
• Provide verbal and written reports regarding safety, security, facility, or personnel issues/incidents.
• Maintain visual contact and proper line of sight with uncleared personnel.
• Respond professionally to all personnel.
• Remain alert to provide appropriate security monitoring of escorted individuals.
• Work around active construction areas and wear PPE as required.
• Work in mechanical and electrical rooms and other industrial locations.
• Sanitize areas prior to escorting personnel into designated work areas.
• Walk long distances, climb stairs, and sit/stand for long periods.
• Wear company-provided dress attire as required.
• Perform other position related duties as assigned.

Amentum has a unique opportunity for an Uncleared Security Monitor to join our team in Springfield, VA location. That's right, our contract will sponsor or upgrade your current clearance, if you meet the requirements below!

The position pays $23.00 an hour, and the clearance upgrade processing time is solely dependent on the investigation.

Responsibilities Include:

• Monitor and escort uncleared persons at the facility.
• Provide verbal and written reports regarding pertinent safety, security, facility, or personnel issues/incidents.
• Always maintain visual contact and proper line of sight with uncleared personnel.
• Respond professionally and courteously to all personnel.
• Remain alert and always awake to provide appropriate security monitoring of escorted individuals.
• Work around active construction areas and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Work in industrial locations (mechanical and electrical rooms, etc.).
• Properly sanitize areas prior to escorting uncleared personnel into designated work areas.
• Walk long distances, climb stairs (including stepladders, etc.), sit/stand for long periods of time.
• Wear appropriate work attire which may include a company provided dress uniform.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a HS diploma or GED
• 1+ year security experience
• Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to provide written and verbal incident reports to various customers.
• Will be required to work an annual Family Day event on a Saturday in September
• Impeccable attendance history
• Must be a US Citizen, and must be able to obtain and possess/maintain a fully adjudicated Top Secret/SCI

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
