Position: Baker Assistant

The Baker Assistant provides quality service to guests and supports the Baker and Person in Charge by:

  1. Performing Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) duties as directed by the Person in Charge (PIC).
  2. Maintaining cleanliness and appearance of the store through cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
  3. Greeting and serving guests.
  4. Handling payments at the cash register.
  5. Preparing drinks at the Tea Bar.
  6. Preparing ingredients for baking, including portioning, weighing, and storing.
  7. Packaging cakes into boxes.
Essential Functions

Reliability and dependable attendance are required. The essential functions are not all-inclusive of the duties and responsibilities of this role.

Education and Experience
  • Some high school education.
  • Preference for some operations experience.
Food Safety

Must meet local/municipal requirements, such as Food Handler certification, acquired at the applicant's own expense.

Employees must work in a fast-paced environment, often standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working with hot equipment and in noisy, hot kitchens. Effective communication and adaptability are essential.
