Position: Baker Assistant

The Baker Assistant provides quality service to guests and supports the Baker and Person in Charge by:

1. Performing Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) duties as directed
2. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the store
3. Greeting and serving guests
4. Handling payments at the register
5. Preparing drinks at the Tea Bar
6. Preparing ingredients for baking, including portioning, weighing, and storing
7. Packaging cakes into boxes

Essential functions: The duties listed are not exhaustive. Reliable attendance is required.

Education and Experience:

• Some high school education
• Preference for some operations experience

Food Safety Requirements:

• Compliance with local/municipal food handler certifications, obtained at the applicant's expense

Employees must work in hot, noisy environments, often standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working quickly with accuracy. The workspace includes hot steam and limited storage. Effective communication and adaptability are essential.
