POSITION SUMMARY

Located in North America’s wind belt, Davenport is at the forefront of renewable energy technology and has remained home to our largest manufacturing facility since 1927. Originally producing cereal, the factory became a pet food-only manufacturer in the late ‘90s. As the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S., it carefully produces, packages, and ships several varieties of our brands including Dog Chow, Puppy Chow, Alpo, Beneful, Nestlé Purina ONE, Cat Chow, Kitten Chow, Friskies, and Kibbles & Bits.

Responsibilities

• May train on and be placed into any production job at the factory including Operator Process, Operator Relief, and Operator Line.
• Effectively troubleshoot equipment, process, or product problems.
• Maintain knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts, 5S practices, and continuous improvement operations.
• Be able to operate or learn to operate a forklift truck.
• Conduct general sanitation activities, including being trained in emptying hoppers and using the baler.
• Have the ability to run reports and manage data using computer-based technology.
• Must be open to working any shift, including 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $24.07 per hour for a Production Operator. Please note that this is a good faith estimate at the time of posting; final compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
