Job Summary

Steel and Aluminum welding experience is necessary.

This position is for all shifts:

• 1st Shift (6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Thursday)
• 2nd Shift (4:30pm - 3:00am, Monday - Thursday)
• 3rd Shift (8:00pm - 6:30am, Monday - Thursday)

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget.
• Follow written work instructions and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures, including handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS).
• Properly use required PPE.
• Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
• Understand requirements, possess appropriate skills, and perform various welding processes on products of specific metal types.
• Must be proficient in aluminum GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding processes. 4 or more years of aluminum welding experience is preferred.
• Weld with an acceptable degree of proficiency, experience, and knowledge, meeting various codes and specifications including AWS and ASME.
• Perform material preparation, open set-up, and fit to meet process requirements.
• Read blueprints, weld symbols, and NDE symbols, and interpret acceptance criteria.
• Accurately perform visual inspection of weldments to confirm compliance with various codes and standards.
• Weld materials with thicknesses of 0.125" to 0.50".
• Weld in 1G, 2G, and 3G positions.
• Have basic knowledge of AWS D1.2 Aluminum Welding Code.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Weld experience preferred.
