Job summary

Prosegur in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking an on-site Unarmed Security Officer for the 2nd shift. You will maintain a safe environment for customers and employees while delivering professional security and customer service, patrolling facilities, reporting hazards, and following client requirements.

This full-time role requires a HS diploma, a NYS Security License, and 1 year of experience; candidate must be able to stand, walk stairs, lift up to 25 pounds, and work weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a New York State Security License.
• Must have one (1) year of experience as a security officer.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have good communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.

Job Skills / Requirements

Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.

Physical Requirements: This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

• Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)
• Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
