Job summary

Prosegur in Sterling Heights, MI is hiring an Unarmed Security Shift Supervisor - Full Time (Guarding). You will oversee access and egress, monitor trucks, manage traffic, and maintain safety across the site.

The role requires at least 2 years in security, a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and a valid driver’s license. Strong communication, crisis decision-making, and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security officer role.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficient computer skills are required.
• Must possess reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to make clear decisions during crisis or high-stress periods.
• Must have a valid drivers license with no suspensions or more than 3 moving violations within 5 yrs.
• Must have previous security supervisory exp.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other individuals to maintain the security and safety of the premises.
• Supervise the inspection and tracking of inbound and outbound trucks, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient shipment handling.
• Manage traffic flow and ensure proper regulation of trucks and vehicles.
• Maintain a visible presence among visitors, patrons, and employees to enforce order and protect property.
• Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, promptly responding to emergency situations and providing security assistance as required.
• Provide foot or motor vehicle escort services to transport individuals to specified locations, offer personal protection, or accompany individuals off customer property.
• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity, implementing appropriate measures to address any identified risks.
• Ensure the security of the facility and designated areas.
• Enforce facility and company policies and procedures consistently.
• Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and prepare comprehensive reports.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)

Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
