Job summary

Prosegur in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an on-call Unarmed Security Officer to patrol and protect client premises. This role involves monitoring entrances, conducting foot patrols, and reporting incidents with professionalism.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of security experience, 2+ years customer service, and a valid driver's license. Strong English communication and basic computer skills are required. Pay is $22 per hour with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
• Must successfully complete required background and drug screening.
• Reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons.
• Log inbound and outbound trucks and control access at entry points.
• Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals or provide protection.
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity logs.

Job Skills / Requirements

Duties and responsibilities:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills
• You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises
• Logging inbound and outbound trucks, control/limit access to the facility at entry point to include visitor sign in/out logs, issue identification badges, etc
• Capable of walking to and from guard shack to trucks/be very agile
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance
• Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
• Secure facility and designated areas
• Enforce facility and company policies and procedures
• Investigate and prepare reports on incident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of security experience , preferably in a Concierge Security Officer role.
• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and remain calm during high-stress situations.
• Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, visitor management, access control, and CCTV systems.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
• Must successfully complete required background and drug screening.
• Reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining ethical standards.

Hours:

On Call: Must be available 2 different shifts and 6 days out of the week.
