Job summary

Prosegur in Florence, SC is seeking an Unarmed Security Shift Supervisor to oversee security staff across 1st/2nd shifts and weekends. You will supervise entry/exit control, perform investigations, and ensure safety and compliance on-site.

The role involves coordinating daily workflows, preparing DARs, training new hires, and handling emergent security issues with professionalism and discretion. High school diploma and active unarmed license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a valid Security Guard License.
• Must have 2 years of experience as a security officer or supervisory experience.
• Must have open availability to work all shifts and schedules.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises.
• Answer telephone calls and take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when the switchboard is closed.
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents.
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Guard, patrol, and monitor premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or violations.
• Enforce facility rules and respond to emergencies requiring security assistance.
• Oversee daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff.
• Prepare and conduct training for new hires and current staff.
• Escort individuals to locations or off property for protection.
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs).
• Supervise for irregular or unusual activity.

Unarmed Security Shift Supervisor(Guarding)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises
• Answer telephone calls and take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when the switchboard is closed
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Enforce facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance
• Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff including security guards and desk clerks.
• Prepares and conducts training for new hires and current staff including training on workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures, and related safety and security topics.
• Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)
• Supervise for irregular or unusual activity
