Job summary

Prosegur in New York is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff, perform basic security duties, and report hazards. Must hold NYS Security Guard License and a high school diploma; on-site role with weekend availability and 2nd/3rd shift options.

This role requires strong communication, reliability, and crisis composure. Training provided; weekly pay applies. On-call shifts may be available, with a strong emphasis on safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a valid Security Guard License for NYS.
• Must have one (1) year of experience as a security officer.
• Must be able to pass a Physical Ability Assessment.
• Open availability to work all shifts and schedules.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have good communications skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs on a daily basis.
• Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods.
• Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.
