Job summary

Prosegur is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer in Buffalo, NY for a full-time, second-shift role with weekends. You will help maintain a safe environment, perform unarmed security duties, patrol, and report hazards.

Applicants must have a NY Security License, a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation; strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a New York State Security License.
• Must have one (1) year of experience as a security officer.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have good communications skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs on a daily basis.
• Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods.
• Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.
