Job summary

Allied Universal in Glendale, CA is seeking a Security Officer for full-time, unarmed work. You will patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle, monitor access, and respond to emergencies to protect clients and property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company vehicle.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 if armed).
• Ability to operate radio/console equipment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions posing security concerns.
• Sound alarms or summon police/fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rules; manage entry/exit points.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft; ensure proper property removal.
• Investigate incidents; maintain required logs and reports.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
