Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Jeffersonville, IN. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors and contractors while patrolling and maintaining a visible security presence.

This role emphasizes safety, professionalism and responsive, calm problem solving. Competitive pay at $17.63 per hour, full-time schedule including evenings, and benefits such as health plans and a retirement savings plan accompany this position.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents.
• Maintain a professional presence while assisting with security-related communications, directing visitors, and supporting a welcoming environment for personnel and guests.
