Job summary

Allied Universal in De Soto, KS is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Readiness. You will serve and safeguard clients across tech/media/telecom locations, conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security concerns with professionalism and courtesy.

This full-time role offers a daytime schedule with rotating shifts, a pay rate of $22.28 per hour, and opportunities for training, career growth, and benefits through Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas and perimeters to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor credentials; maintain accurate visitation and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally; notify relevant personnel and responders as needed.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly workplace by enforcing site rules and guiding individuals on site.
