Job summary

Allied Universal in Kinston, North Carolina, is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer to protect clients across industries such as Food/Beverage. You will conduct patrols, deter incidents, and provide excellent service while using tablets/computers on shift.

Position type is Full Time with a schedule of 01:00 PM–09:00 PM on multiple days. Requirements include 18+ years old, high school diploma, and background/drug screening as part of employment.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and assist with access-control procedures for a food and beverage manufacturing location.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately; communicate relevant information to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.
