Job summary

Doyle Security Services, Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a vigilant Security Guard to protect client property and personnel at assigned sites. You will observe and report activities, perform patrols, monitor access points, preserve order, and enforce regulations for staff and visitors.

The role is full-time and requires a NY State Security Guard License, be at least 21, and able to communicate in English. You must be physically able to perform duties and have basic knowledge of building systems.

Qualifications

• Must have NY State Security Guard License
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Physically able to perform duties
• Technical working knowledge of building systems
• Protective security experience a plus (preferred)

Responsibilities

Overview

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of workday.

Schedule

Friday 0600 to 1800, Sunday 1530-2330, & Monday 0600-1800

Pay Range

Up to USD $19.30/Hr.

Responsibilities

• Reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

• MUST have Valid NY State Security Guard License.
• Associate or higher degree in a fire/security related field. (Preferred not required)
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to understand the English language and communicate it effectively in both the verbal and written form.
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.
• Technical working knowledge of building systems.
• Protective security experience a plus
