Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Unarmed) for Jeffersonville, IN. This full-time role involves patrolling the site, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering customer service to employees and visitors.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, monitoring access, and documenting incidents while upholding site policies. CPR/First Aid is preferred, and a background check/drug screen will be required.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding daily activities, incidents, and operational needs.
