Job summary

Allied Universal in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Government Building to monitor a technology-focused site, deter incidents, and provide exceptional service.

Swing shift hours and a pay rate of $26.00 per hour, with duties including patrols, access control, alarm responses, and clear communication with staff and visitors.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years security experience, a high school diploma, and are willing to undergo background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check per federal, state and local law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused site, following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of the facility and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures to maintain proper access control.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally; document observations.
• Complete required logs, incident reports, and shift communications per Allied Universal requirements.
