Position - Unarmed Security Officer

Title: Security Officer

Job Description

Security Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property, and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and conduct security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers, along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals entering or leaving the premises.

Shift and Compensation

• Split 2nd/3rd shift
• $18 per hour
• Patrol Officers/Building Officers

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess Level II, Non-commissioned security license (via TOPS)
• Strong customer service skills
• Familiarity with report writing
• Monitoring and surveillance experience
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• One year of previous security experience required
• Valid driver license
• Ability to frequently get into and out of a vehicle
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Must pass background, drug tests, and MVR checks
