Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time unarmed Security Officer at a New York, NY retail location to protect clients and deter incidents. You will perform patrols, monitor alarm panels, assist shoppers and staff, and ensure a welcoming customer experience while adhering to procedures.

Minimum requirements include 1 year of security experience, alarm panel familiarity, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug testing. Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and employees while following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate per site procedures.
• Pass background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, café areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity around the location, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
