Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Foot Patrol) in Austin, TX. You will provide exceptional customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access control, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the shelter location, including building interiors, grounds, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and support site access procedures in accordance with location policies.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation; communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
