Job summary

Peralta Associates & Defense in Long Beach, CA is seeking full-time Unarmed Security Officers to protect client premises and maintain safety. You will conduct patrols, observe for suspicious activity, and document incidents, while delivering excellent service according to site policies.

Qualified candidates hold a CA Guard Card, power to arrest, and use-of-force certifications, with a high school diploma or GED. Training is provided, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Valid California Guard Card is required.
• Power to arrest certificate required.
• Appropriate Use of Force certificate required.
• Remaining 32 hours of the training.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular observation of client premises and report any suspicious activity.
• Perform foot patrols, monitor the perimeter, and handle incident reporting.
• Deliver excellent customer service while adhering to safety, security procedures, and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills.
• Patrol the site on foot to identify potential dangers or criminal activity.
• Report any suspicious activity to supervisors or law enforcement as necessary.
• Maintain accurate reports by documenting observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Issue verbal warnings, make arrests (if applicable), and/or contact law enforcement for security violations or criminal activities.
• Adapt to various working environments and conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
