Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time Security Officer in Reno, NV to patrol government facilities, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. The role involves responding to incidents, conducting regular patrols, and maintaining a welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

The position requires at least six months of security experience, a high school diploma, and willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Six months of security-related experience (minimum).
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Background check in accordance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at government facilities by carrying out security procedures and emergency responses.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeters to identify concerns and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and entry procedures to maintain orderly operations.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications.
