Job summary

Metro One LPSG is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a role focused on real-time alarm monitoring and incident coordination in Michigan City, Indiana. The position includes two weeks of paid training to become a SOC Analyst, with duties spanning communications, continuity planning, and adherence to security protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in SOC or security environments, and the ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework in security or criminal justice preferred)
• Prior SOC/command center or physical security experience is a plus
• Familiarity with video surveillance, access control, and alarm systems is desirable
• Strong situational awareness and stress management skills are essential

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms, access control, and intrusions to identify threats and reduce false positives
• Audit security systems to identify vulnerabilities and improvements
• Coordinate and dispatch resources during incidents as the main communications hub
• Lead crisis communications and business continuity actions
• Assist in commissioning, testing, and configuration of new security systems
• Document and compile evidence for reports, audits, and investigations
• Refine security procedures based on evolving threats and needs
