Job summary

Allied Universal in Irvine, CA is hiring a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Office Building Access Control to protect and assist clients across Tech/Media/Telecom campuses. You will patrol interior and exterior areas, monitor entry points, verify credentials, and maintain a visible security presence during the swing shift.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
