Job summary

Allied Universal in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol for a commercial office building. You will provide security, monitor entrances, perform patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time swing-shift position pays $21 per hour and requires completion of standard onboarding, background check, and drug screen. Duties include access control, incident reporting, and prompt response to alarms, with

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common areas, entrances, and perimeter grounds to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership, property management, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
