Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Assistance in Long Beach, CA. The role involves patrolling healthcare facilities, maintaining security, and delivering exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following facility protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and help support an orderly environment for patients and visitors.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
